CEC 2012 update

please note that Table 17 does not exits in the 2012 CEC. All questions in the workbook requiring Table 17 are now incorrect. A #6 AWG conductor is now required. Also Table 1-4 values have also changed, the answers to questions using these tables will also not be correct. Methods to solve the problems using these tables is correct . I will post an update of changes as a link.
Edition 6 will not be for sale in 2013 and will be replaced by edition 7 for 2012 CEC.
I have added an examination section to the end of this blog, page down past all the text and take the exams. Good Luck, Remember that hard work pays off in results

How to view Power Piont slides

When you select the power point slide from the link you will be taken to the authorstream site. Create a user name and password if you do not have one and wait for the slide show to load. Then watch it and post a comment if you like.

Power Point Presentations and Handout Links

This Blog was intended as a resource for the students in my C of Q course for Industrial and Residential Commercial Electricians, however there has been interest from others for material links and for the Electrician Workbook.
I have now established a link section for Power Point Presentations. These presentations are narrated and can be viewed. I will add more presentations based on requests and the time I have available. Remember to always check the Handouts section, I am always adding new links.
The Workbook is not available online but can be purchased from the bookstore, if you contact me I can give you details. I will have online purchase available soon and you will be able to purchase detailed Power Point presentations on various topics including Electrical Code.
Contact me at electricianworkbook.blogspot.com. You can post comments but I am more likely to respond to my email. Let me know if there is a topic you wish to see posted or a link, or a Power Point presentation topic you would like to have available.
Thanks for your support. The site is gaining interest.
For those who have purchased the Workbook and would like answers to the examinations please contact me. The answers are made available through the semester so keep checking the site.

What is this Blog about?

This blog has been setup for my students to provide communication. It can also be used by individuals who have purchased the Electrician Workbook and for some reason cannot attend classes. My intention is to set up a line of communication with individuals who are attempting to write the C of Q Examination. I will also provide a forum to answer question students have regarding the material covered in the Electrician Workbook.
I have had many requests for answers that are not provided in the workbook, please contact me at teichrob@aol.com and comment in the blog that you have sent an email.
The content of this blog will also consist of the class material covered along with assignments. You can use this guideline to prepare for the C of Q if you are not attending my class. I will also post explanations and answers to requested question in the blog comments. Students attending my classes can use the comment section to communicate with me on other issues.
I hope this helps you out and please let me know if there is some way the Blog can be improved .
How do I use this Blog?
Review the topics in the classes. Ask your question in the comment section of the class that contains the topic you have an interest, ex. if you would like an answer on a question for sizing conductors go to class 3 and enter your question.Read the other questions and answers in that comment section this may help as well.
